How 'bout them White Sox

I'm not from Chicago, but rather rural Wisconsin. I moved to Chicago back in 1989. I still refuse to root for any Chicago or IL team when they play one of my beloved WI teams, but when they don't ...I'll root for them.

So it was nice to see a team that hasn't won a World Series since 1917 (!!) win. I let out a big holler at 11 pm at night when they finally clinched it. I worked night shift and heard the White Sox win in 14 innings @ 1 am the night before when they won game 3.

So let's hear it for the Sox!

What's my take?

Here we go:
Everytime I drive by U.S. Suckular, I make it a priority flick off that stadium, the people inside, and everyone who cheers for them.
Friday afternoon, I didn't get the chance to grab a bite to eat until 1:30 in the afternoon, the bar I was in had the celebration on TV, and I lost my appetite.
Some people say its a great thing for the city no matter who you cheer for...I say that's bullshit.
I love the Cubs. I have Cubs in my veins...that doesn't even make sense, but I'm willing to say it.
That's my take.
I'm not happy for your team. I'm very bitter. And I understand my feelings come across as immature, but I could care less.
GO CUBS!...next year is our year!

You know Jean, the rivalry between NorthSiders and SouthSiders goes back 100 yrs.
immixmarketer, remember, I'm a Brewers fan, which is a team you may hate worse. Stay tuned as I have a funny Cub story to tell you which I know you'll like.
Don't be bitter just find a way to make the Cubs a better team and become their GM "that's all"

Yeah, I'm pretty useless when it comes to baseball (that's what the Whitesox play right?). Sorry I can't actually get excited alongside you...
