No, none of us should pretend that we know who will win the election.....Trump or Biden. You should vote in the election unless you voted early or mailed in your ballot!
However, I submit to you that we are close to knowing who will win.
5 states: Florida, N. Carolina, Pennsylvania (which gets a lot of attention b/c Trump won it in 2016 and Joe Biden was born there), Wisconsin, and Arizona (in 2017 their senators were Jeff Flake and John McCain - both Repub. senators were disgusted w/ Trump when they left office.
The electoral vote is currently 249-204. That leaves 85 electoral votes. So, if Trump won them all, he would win. But look what happens if Biden wins Wisconsin and Trump wins the rest.....YOU HAVE A TIE, 269 - 269
Then it ends up in the House of Representatives. The Electoral College meets after the new House and Senate are sworn in. But, the problem is that, by that time, Trump could issue many lawsuits from his rich friends. If it goes to the Supreme Court, it will be like what happened the election of 2000. The Supreme Court (even MORE CONSERVATIVE) could stop the count. They could rule in favor of some OR ALL OF THE 5 STATES. That's a possibility.
Smarter men with more time (I hope) can figure out if House and Senate could (hypothetically) have considerably more Democrats than Republicans have an effect on the electoral college. Talk to your friends; I'll talk to my friends, let's vote and pray that the election is figured out by at least November 4.
