PACKERS WIN THE SUPER BOWL !

You don't have to know a lot about football (or anything really) to appreciate what the Green Bay Packers have done tonight. A football team has 22 players - 11 on offense and 11 on defense. The Packers LOST (through injuries)15 PLAYERS ! During this Super Bowl game they lost 3 more of their starters, but people replaced the injured and did well. They won. I was shocked. I thought there season wasn't going to go very far without some of the people that were injured. But the Packers pull through.

Much was made about their very strong opponents, the Pittsburgh Steelers. They have one the most Super Bowls - 6. They have played in 3 of the last 6 Super Bowls that have occurred. They were a very experienced group. Yet the fact that they turned the ball over 3 times was all the difference in the world. The Packers took those 3 turnovers and scored 21 points. Without turnovers, the game goes from a Packer victory of 31-25 victory to a 25-10 loss and a Steelers victory.

Turnovers count, having a big lead counts, but most of all triumphing over adversities, injuries, penalties, dropped footballs and still getting the job done and earning a victory in the biggest game of all, the Super Bowl.

I am especially pleased with Aaron Rodgers (he's #12 in the pictures)  who had a very very difficult task of taking over from a legend.  He took over from Brett Favre.  Tonight he equals the number of Super Bowl victories won by Favre.  Whether he can have a great career for the rest of his time as a NFL quarterback remains to be seen, but I just can't say enough about the classy way he carries himself and WINS GAMES.
