I am happy for my kids excitement for XMAS, I feel it won't be disappointed when they go to see their Grandma & pa Schauf in Ithaca WI and will do plenty of tobogganing on the snowy hills of SW Wisconsin. Maribeth & I are looking forward to the law firm party this Thursday.
I'm glad and happy I work at a decent firm.
I would be happier but I have a cold creeping into the bronchial tubes (hopefully I won't have pneumonia as I did 2 years at the very same time). I would also be ecstatic if it wasn't for the fact that over the past few months I"ve been subjected to over $500 in dental bills and I haven't seen my checking account above zero in over 2 weeks. Lets hope & pray the combination of today's paycheck and the XMAS bonus will cover everything. (Pray here! no just kidding, I am a mere speck in a mad universe and have no right to demand a prayer).
I'm a little bit more optimistic about my evaluation. I was given a 4 hr task for an important lawyer at our firm who works out of Israel. I was thanked by both him and the #1 at our firm. I think it's pretty clear that the staff member you go to for an arbitration pack, a Supreme Court Rule 222 Disclosure or Pre-Trial Memo is a certain someone who is more confident now. There's not many to chose from at our small firm, but I try.
From a humble blogger, I wish every reader, my dear brother with a very serious disease, all those fighting with guns, the sick and the lonely, a very precious Christmas and holiday season!!!!!!!!

It's a few days before the New Year, but I still have a few remnants of the cold.
The law firm party was ok. I wasn't able to take Maribeth because she was sick too. It was nice with a nice dinner. I elected not to dance. I received some nice books from 1 boss and the other boss gave me a $50 American Express card which helped my trip to Ithaca.
My XMAS bonus was nice and it answered my prayers just as the evaluation and raise did! God is great!
