you know what's interesting

In the 3 times that I have had surgery (& none of them were serious, extensive surgeries, Thank God), the anesthesiologist was the nicest person in the room. I wonder why? Is it because they're paid well and their job isn't as hard as the surgeon's??  I'm just guessing.

When they inject the sleeping agent into the IV line, they always tell you to count back from 100.  I'm sure glad I haven't even made it to 80.  I distinctly remember not even making it to 90 last time.

The only time I was "treated" in hospital was when I had a small surgery to get rid of a wart on my elbow and then I only got local anesthesia, so I don't have any other experiences to relate to that. Interesting to know that usually at least in your country the anesthesiologist is the nicest one in the room.
