ok, I have a former classmate. She was extremely well known in our school. She was
editor of the high school yearbook
Volleyball, basketball & track star
Forensics state qualifier all 4 years she was in high school
I could go on and on.
So, not so long ago, she got on Facebook. Ok, so I assume she's socializing with friends and maybe classmates of yesteryear, like the ones in 1981(??)......right?
WRONG ! ! !
No, she is going to accept 9 friends, and all other people are not allowed to "Friend" her.
UPDATE: In July, 2016, that figure is considerably more. I DON'T imply she has a lack of friends ESPECIALLY in real life or even Facebook.
But the fact is there is no button on her Facebook profile that says "ADD FRIEND" So that's my point.
No, I'm not angry. I'm just amazed that the village she came from bred such a cliquish instinct in her. She's an undisputed success. Married a handsome, very good man, has great kids.......and WOW she figured out a way that I never knew existed of limiting her friends on Facebook.
So, I say to her, "bravo and very interesting".
